![]() ![]() from the most prolific characters down to the individual forgettable NPCs is so good, and the behavior of all of the characters in the game is consistent and realistic, I'm totally immersed in that world. But, because RDR2 is so internally consistent, the ambiance is so strong, the lore throughout the world is so excellent, the writing and characters. (sure, RDR2 has a first person mode that's awesome but I suspect *most* people still play the game 3rd person, toggling first person on for certain scenarios). ![]() RDR2 is primarily a third-person game, while Cyberpunk is primarily a first-person game. Immersion, for me, is usually achieved through ambiance, internal consistency in the world, care taken in the world, how natural other characters look/talk/act/etc. "You're seeing through their eyes!" sort of thing.įor me the camera doesn't really make a game more immersive or not. I think early in the rise of FPS this might have been a common argument. I haven't really seen this said in a long time, not since FPS games kinda broke through.
